The Aiming Higher Snowdon Challenge
An incredible fundraising walk to summit the highest mountain in Wales.
SOLD OUTOverview
At 1085 metres above sea level, Yr Wyddfa (the Welsh name for Snowdon) is the highest mountain in Wales and higher than any mountain in England. While it's a formidable challenge to summit this beauty, with training it's possible for many. This incredible experience on the 1st of July 2023 is in support of the Aiming Higher charity who are a Blackpool based charity that supports families with disabled children across Blackpool, Wyre and Flyde. We will be walking up and down the Llanberis Path which is around 10.5 miles in total with 1,000 metres of height gain. You'll go at an appropriate pace and there will be a high ratio of Guides to walkers meaning that some can walk faster, some can walk slow, and we will ensure you are kept safe and well. Our aim is to start at 09:00 with a briefing at 08:45 as a group. Finish time could be anything between 15:30 and 17:30 depending on how much time is needed. Cost of registration includes a tee and finisher medal plus fully qualified mountain guides and we ask that you pledge to aim to raise £250 (although any fundraising contributions will be welcomed). On the day registration will be open from 08:00 to collect your t-shirt and any add on's you may have purchased. Get booked on NOW! You'll make friends, have fun, improve your wellbeing and be more healthy. Scroll down for more information and FAQ's. Aspire Adventures are purely responsible for the walk and not anything relating to fundraising.

What fitness level is required?
A level of fitness is great but this walk is designed so that many people can succeed. We move slowly where necessary and people can have time on the mountain as needed. There are also plenty of breaks. Also, the sooner you book the more time you have for training.
How long will the walk take?
This all depends on fitness. We allow lots of time and there will be qualified Guides at the front, rear and all around the mountain to help out. Some may take 4hrs and some may take 8hrs and that's okay. We have got your back.
What will the weather be like?
It's really hard to tell until about 3 days out and even then it can change at the drop of a hat. We send you a kit list when you register and then 72hrs out we send a final email with what we feel the weather will be like with some recommendations which could be bring a hat or don't forget suncream.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome and they must be kept on a lead as you pass through active farm land which may have sheep. You will be responsible for your dog.
What about car parking?
Car parking is available in the area and could be anything from £4.00 to £6.00 and it's worth having change incase the card machine isn't working and postcode LL55 4TY can be used for planning.
Is there accommodation locally?
There is lots of accommodation in and around Llanberis to suit all budgets. This is definitely worth booking ASAP as the area gets booked up really quickly.
